Familles

Who are they?

• Couples wishing to allow cultural openness, for their children,
• Single-parent families who wish a « young and dynamic » presence,
• Families, having one of their children gone to study abroad and offering his/her now available room, for a foreign student.

Our selection criteria:

We meet the families on a regular basis. New families are selected beforehand with great care, on specific criteria and together we define the hosting conditions:

• The room intended for the student in the flat: its comfort and its good geographical location,
• The motivation to greet a « foreign student » within their family,
• The will to exchange and share with another culture,
• The capacity to get implicated in this exchange.

The host families’ obligations:

The host family offers accommodation, balanced meals (dinner and breakfast). Cleaning is proposed once a week, towels are changed every week, and bed linen every ten days. A set of keys is given to the student on arrival, by his/her hosting family.

The host family is willing to give help and advice as well as her interest to the student’s well-being

The purpose of France Stay being to make as much as possible the students’ requirements match with the appropriate host family. The students of a same language will never be hosted in the same family, except on specific demand.

French always being the language mainly spoken.
 

The « Plus »: Experience

Our families, for most of them, have already had an important amount of experience in hosting. For many years, this has led to the creation of true ties between the hosts and their occupants during their stays. And our families often remain in touch with the students, once they’re gone.

Half-board accommodation in a family, or at least with a few meals during the week, 3 or 5 dinners a week Our offers allows to get sure advantages from the practice of French language and culture.
The families’ welcome, conviviality and implication to make the host’s stay the most pleasant, are the required ethical criteria, for all these families:

➢ A will to communicate, a positive representation of welcome in France !!!

The accommodation

The room:

The families’ flats or houses are often composed of 3, 4 or 5 rooms, comprising a private individual room for a student, or a double room that can host two students with two separate beds, for groups. Each standard room has:

• one or several beds,
• a storage space and a desk or a writing-table,
• one or several chairs,
• mirror and bedside table.
• Wi-Fi access

The bathroom: 

The bathroom, and/or shower, is generally collective. BUT it can also be private when choosing among superior categories:
